After google dismissed Latitude, I started thinking about a replacement so that my relatives can track me when I'm away.

So, I developed a site, an android app, and a plugin for xbmc, then came a regulation that is asking me to file a declaration before collecting position data, and pay a tax for filing this declaration; since paying a tax for a service for which I'm not paid is a nonsense, I closed the site and retired the plugin. Sorry.
